This little guy lives outside our bedroom window! 

I thought I'd post this old picture I had taken of the Venus Transit on June 8th, 2004. I took this picture by holding my old Kodak digital camera up to the eyepiece of my 8" Dobsonian telescope.

That little black dot is the planet Venus, coming between us on Earth and the Sun!

And, to avoid any jealousy, here is another recent shot taken with the new camera. I'm looking forward to getting some natural-light shots, but so far it's been nothing by clouds! 

Here's a new shot from the new camera. I'm getting used to shooting and then adjusting the images later. The camera is designed to underexpose, especially when the flash is used.
